On November 29, 2023, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Iryna Sotnyk, Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (EPBA) of Sumy State University, gave an online lecture on the topic “Energy security, energy efficiency and renewable energy in Ukraine: past, present and future” for the students of the CAS “Rebuilding Ukraine” at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. The listeners got acquainted with the state of energy security of Ukraine, the experience of applying economic mechanisms to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy, prospective directions of the post-war energy development of Ukraine, including the scenarios of the electricity sector advancement until 2035, developed by the lecturer in cooperation with scientists of the Renewable Energy Systems group of the University of Geneva. The lecture aroused considerable interest among the listeners and a lively discussion in the audience.
