DAAD PROJECTS

In 2016, Sumy State University received a positive decision from the largest service for academic exchanges and support of higher education in Germany (DAAD) for winning the program “Supporting Democracy in Ukraine”.

The joint project “Development of dialogue between banks and civil society in the context of ensuring democratic processes in Ukraine” was implemented between Technical University of the Mining Academy (Freiberg) and Sumy State University. The project coordinator in Ukraine is L.Yu. Sysoeva, associate professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance. Project participants: Professor Leonov S.V., Professor Vasylieva T.A., Buryak A.V., Vysochyna A.V., Samusevich Ya.V.

The following activities took place within the framework of the project:

Participation of teachers and students in the International Scientific Conference on “Supranational and national institutions of financial regulation”, April 18 – April 22, 2016, Freiberg, Germany.

Summer internship of two project participants at the Technical University of the Mining Academy, 06.06 – 07.05.2016.

Participation of teachers and students in the International Scientific Conference on the topic “Banking system of the future: democratic values through the development of civil society”, October 17 – October 21, 2016, Sumy, Ukraine.

According to the results of the DAAD joint grant project, a joint monograph edited by Andreas Horsch (Technical University of the Mining Academy (Freiberg) and Larisa Sysoeva (Sumy State University) “Financial Regulation in the European Union and Ukraine” was published in Germany in 2017.

In 2017, the assistant professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Larisa Sysoeva, joined the permanent membership of the selection committee for academic scholarships in economics of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
