DISCO project within the Horizon Europe program

The SumDU project supervisor is Yurii PETRUSHENKO (DSc in Economics, professor, head of the Department for International Economic Relations).

According to the resolution by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), SumDU joined the second stage of the DISCO project (Developing Innovative Sustainable Cooperation Opportunities).

The DISCO project promotes innovative potential of European higher education institutions via joint study, cooperation with non-commercial organizations and business entities. In such a way, a broad innovative ecosystem is created.

The second project stage is planned till the end of 2024. The budget is 900,000 euros. SumDU members are invited to the potential presentation of new partners. It will take place in Krakow University of Economics on 13-15 September 2023.

Notes. The EIT enhances the European ability to innovations via resolutions to solve actual global problems and develop enterprise talents. In this manner, the European sustainable growth and new jobs are created. The EIT is an EU authority and belongs to the Horizon Europe (a frame program for research and innovations). Besides, the EIT is the largest European innovative ecosystem. It covers about 3000 partners from business, research and education facilities of Europe in 200 places. The EIT provided 3,800 start-ups and developing companies with over 3,9 billion euros of foreign capital. Above 1,400 products and services appeared.
