Workshops for students of Bingham University (Nigeria) in terms of e-course «Cyber Security Economics» continue!

On February 20, 2021, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Economic Cybernetics Konstantin Gritsenko and Assistant Professor Sergey Minenko conducted online workshops with students at Bingham University (Nigeria) on «Cybersecurity Engineering for Economists» and «Common network attacks and ways to mitigate them»

During the lectures, the issues of the value of personal and corporate data, motives for committing cybercrimes, characteristics of cyberattacks, as well as students acquired basic knowledge about the types of cyber attacks. The importance of device security on the Internet of Things was considered separately. Methods of identification of belonging of the device to a botnet were considered.

During the workshops, students actively interacted with the teacher and participated in discussions. This topic raised a lively discussion among students: many had their own experience of being the target of phishing and social engineering.
