On August 31, 2018, an inter-departmental seminar “Features of Educational and Scientific Activity at US Universities” took place at the Institute of Business Technologies of the UASS of the SSU. The seminar was hosted by Svetlana Komissaruk, a professor at the Columbia University (New York), part of the famous ivy league of eight of the oldest US universities. Svetlana Komissaruk is currently working as a professor at the Department of International Economic Relations of the SSU.
The workshop focused on the organization of academic activities and research that allowed American universities to be leaders in the ratings of leading educational and scientific institutions in the world. Most of the seminar’s issues aroused lively discussion among the participants.
Also on September 01-21, 2018, Svetlana Komissaruk conducted a training on “Psychology of Effective Business” for representatives of small and medium businesses in Sumy and Sumy Oblast. The training was conducted with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the EU4Business initiative of the European Union, based on the Sumy Information Support Center.
