October 3, 2018 Lectures of two representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine for students of the specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” took place in the premises of the Congress Center.
The topic “Contemporary trends in banking supervision” was disclosed by Maria Grigorievna Ponomarenko, Chief Expert of the Banking Supervision Department.
She has the following experience in banking supervision since 1999: oversight of banks, including banks requiring increased oversight; participation in conducting inspection inspections in banks; methodological work on the development of new regulatory requirements for banks, including the assessment of banks’ credit risks; ensuring the implementation of off-bank supervision on an individual and consolidated basis for large banks and banks with foreign capital; methodical provision of supervisory functions; Participation in the implementation of the risk-oriented supervision project in accordance with the adopted Integrated Program for the Development of the Financial Sector of Ukraine by 2020; participation in the development of new legislative requirements for the regulation of banks; provision of methodological support for the application of normative legal acts of the National Bank.
The lecture “Practical Aspects of Credit Risk Assessment on the Example of Mathematical Modeling” was read by Olga Vasilyevna Gvozdieva, Chief Expert of the Department of Financial Stability.
General experience of Gvozdieva O.V. in the banking system is 24 years old. During his years of work, she has worked in all key areas: lending, treasury, budgeting, financial analysis, building a risk management system, introducing Basel 2 and Basel 3 components, implementing ISFS 39 and 9, working with problem debts, crisis management, BCP implementation (Business Continuity Plan), stress testing.
Since 2015 and for the time being, Olga works in the National Bank, completes the project on the implementation of IFRS 9, participates in the stress testing of commercial banks.
The event was organized by the professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance Belov I.V.
The lecture was attended by over 100 students, as well as lecturers, postgraduate students, and doctoral students.
