Throughout November and December 2023, T.V. Shcherbina, a faculty member of the department, delivered a series of lectures to third-year students majoring in international economic relations relations within the discipline “International Marketing”. The lectures were dedicated to exploring cross-cultural aspects of the European business environment.
The topics covered during the lectures included “The Position of the EU in the Landscape of Cultural Differences,” “European Practices in International Employment,” and “Academic Mobility as an Effective Tool for Enhancing Cross-Cultural Skills: Insights from the EU Experience.” The practical segment of the classes involved creating maps of cultural differences to identify nuances in business communication across European countries. Additionally, the sessions addressed the essential skills necessary for building a successful career in international companies, illustrated through examples from EU countries.
