SUMY STATE UNIVERSITY

Studying in the UAB became more to me than gaining higher education. The professional teaching staff not only provided the opportunity to acquire professional knowledge and skills in the chosen field, but also reveal its potential and assign extraordinarily important abilities – to be able to learn and absorb educational information. Thus, I was given valuable fundamental knowledge from many professional disciplines, such as financial accounting, enterprise reporting, professional accounting standards, international accounting standards, auditing, automated accounting systems, and others. Special thanks to the teachers of the Department of Accounting and Audit for being always open to my questions and encouraging new ideas. Such atmosphere contributed to personal development and at the same time required a considerable amount of self-organization.

Continuous improvement and work on ourselves – the quality that the academy has undoubtedly provided me has inspired me to continue my path to an auditor abroad. So, at the moment, I work as a senior auditor at PwC Slovakia, providing audit services to one of the largest American IT corporations in the world – IBM, in collaboration with the multinational team of auditors. And also, I continue to acquire the international qualification of ACCA, which will surely be useful in my international career as an auditor.

So, my gratitude to the team of  UAB teachers for inspiring to gain such a complex but important qualification in accounting and auditing. But I must undoubtedly repeat and stress that the knowledge of English in this profession plays a key role for those who want to engage themselves in the international field!
