On February 3, 2014 the Academy’s Scientific Library held an extraordinary event – the presentation of the book with Ukrainian translation of the poetry of the Burliuk brothers by the Sumy poet and writer Alexander Vertil.
The event was opened by a theater scene: Burliuks brothers represented by actors of the Academy’s student theater, appeared before the audience. The Library’s Director Nadia Petrina stressed that Burliuk poets Burliu returned to the national culture through the translations of Alexander Vertil – Sumy poet, writer, journalist, Head of Sumy Regional National Union of Writers of Ukraine. Alexander Vertil told the participants about the history of translation of the poetry collection, read poems in Russian and Ukrainian languages, shared his memories.
