Professor Haber about Poland, Ukraine and more …

Recently, the Polish Internet-portal Info-Poster.eu published an interview with the Honorary Professor of the Ukrainian Academy of Banking Josef Haber.

The article aroused considerable interest among readers as it refers to the current issues of regional and global policy, offering an in-depth analysis and proposing original solutions to the existing problems.

In his interview Professor Haber pointed to a number of problematic aspects of cooperation between Poland and the European Union. In his opinion, one of the drawbacks of this interaction is to provide monetary assistance to member countries, leading to the “degradation” of the economy. The professor stressed that the main instrument to eliminate these threats is innovation and technological progress as the Polish nation has considerable demographic and intellectual potential. Also, Mr. Haber analyzed the threats to the country, in particular, ensuring energy security considering the deterioration of relations with Russia.

“We support the deepening and broadening of the Eastern Partnership policies, providing a clear perspective for Ukraine, supporting the European aspirations of the country and its accession to the European Union. However, such decisions of Ukraine should be thoughtful, balanced and in line with the key priorities of economic development of the country”– said Professor Haber.
