Despite the difficult political situation in Ukraine the scientific life in the eastern part of the country continues. Recently, assistant professor of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities Oleg Tulyakov participated in the International scientific conference, which discussed the problems of interpretation and implementation of the ideas of famous philosophers of the past. The conference was organized by the Ukrainian Centre for Scientific Initiatives in Gorlivka.
The report of Oleg Tulyakov “Signs of the uniqueness of the Ukrainian “philosophy of the heart” (creative legacy of Gregory Skovoroda and Pamfil Yurkevych)” aroused a great interest among participants. During the discussion it was argued that Ukrainian philosophical tradition is relevant in the context of creating an ideological basis for the development of modern Ukrainian society. The Ideas G. Skovoroda and P. Yurkevych are capable of playing a key integral role in the development of modern Ukraine.
