September 22, 2020 prof. Ihor Basantsov took part in hearings held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine regarding the planned reorganization of the Ivan Poddubny Olympic College and its joining the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.
As a result of this meeting, it was decided to create a working group, which will include workers of the Ministry of Education and Science, members of sports federations, people’s deputies, member of the public and independent experts to check the activities of the Olympic College and its audit.
Professor of our department, Doctor of Economics Basantsov Ihor was invited to this meeting as an independent expert of economics. In order to avoid financial collisions his proposed to amend clause 3 of paragraph 3 of the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1083-r. dated September 2, 2020 regarding compensation of costs to the Kiev local budget (for the maintenance of students from other regions) from regional budgets.
