Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines Dmytro Lukyanets gave lectures about the international experience of fighting corruption
Corruption is a negative phenomenon, which hinders the normal development of the state and implementation of economic reforms. Therefore, the fight against corruption has become a major challenge for all levels of the local government. The experience of other countries can be very useful in this regard. The lectures of the Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines Dmytro Lukyanets, given at the Regional Administration, were devoted to the international experience of fighting corruption. The audience learnt about the achievements of the United States, Albania and Poland in this area. In particular, Professor Lukyanets explained the concept of corruption offenses under foreign laws, the principles of fighting corruption and the use of sanctions against corrupt individuals. Hopefully, the study of the international experience will help overcome corruption in Ukraine.
