From 28 January – 02 February 2018, Yuliia Shkodkina, senior lecturer, ead of the Institute Council on Quality Assurance, participated in the First Winter School for young researchers “European Educational Research Quality Indicators”.
The school was organised by Ukrainian Educational Research Association in Truskavets and Drohobych within the framework of the project “European Quality of Educational Research for Empowering Educators in Ukraine” and was held with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. According to the programme participants took part in training sessions devoted to the issues of higher education quality, academic integrity, academic writing standards, empirical methods of educational research, university rankings and autonomy, etc. Additionally, questions concerning use of international databases and databases of international studies were considered. A lecture, which was conducted by the President of the International Fund of Educational Policy Research, professor of the University of Warsaw, Taras Finikov came as a wonderful surprise for participants of the school. The lecture was devoted to internal quality assurance systems in Ukrainian universities in the light of the Law of Ukraine “About Higher Education – 2014”. As the result of the Winter School participants received certificates of participation and session notes, which are allowed to be used for dissemination of knowledge and experience gained during training sessions among their colleagues.
