On May 21, 2020, a practice-oriented lesson on the discipline “Internal Corporate Audit” was held, to which at the initiative and invitation of the teacher Zhukova T.A. joined Ganus Iryna – Senior Auditor LLC “GRANT THORNTON LEGIS”, a graduate of the Department of Finance and Entrepreneurship NNI FEM O.F. Balatsky.
Iryna got the opportunity to work in the company when she was a fourth-year student majoring in 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”, educational program “Finance and Accounting in Business”. Iryna Hanus took an active part in scientific work, proved herself as an extraordinary person, winner of student competitions, winner of the VII Competition of student research and practical work on IFRS:
During the online lesson, Iryna told about the features and experience of working in an audit company, the practice of self-support of projects and a group of auditors. Working with large industrial corporations and oil companies, she shared the practical experience of the auditor in various circumstances, paid attention to issues of interaction with companies and work with documentation, considered approaches to data analysis.
The meeting was held for master students of the FM-91/2 group. Students-financiers of 1st, 2nd and 4th courses also joined the online lesson, who received additional practically oriented knowledge on auditing financial statements.
At the end of the meeting, Irina told about her experience of interviewing, employment and career growth, which interested the students and raised many questions.
