Second Stage of All-Ukrainian Student Research Papers Competition in “Public Administration”was held in Sumy State University

March 23, 2017 in Sumy State University the second stage of All-Ukrainian Student Research Papers Competition in the science field “Public Administration” (economic section) was in the form of final scientific and practical conference. Organization of economic section work was entrusted to the Department of Management of Oleg Balatskyi Academic and Research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management. The conference was opened by the Head of Branch competition committee Professor Chornous A.M. who welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work.

The Branch competition committee included leading experts on Public Administration of the Sumy City Council, National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, Ternopil National Economic University, Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy named by O. Beketov, Sumy Regional Institute of Pedagogical Postgraduate Education and Sumy State University.
Prior to the second stage the competition committee selected 16 student research papers out of 50 ones and invited the authors to the conference, among which 13 research papers were awarded with the diplomas of the I, II and III degree.
Thus, Olga Samofalova (Sumy State University) and Svyatoslav Malibroda (Lviv Politechnic National University) were awarded with the diplomas of the I degree.
Yuliya Malkovska (Kyiv National Economic University named by Vadym Hetman), Oleksandra Savych (Kharkiv National Economic University named by S. Kuznets), Svitlana Naumova (Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy named by O.M. Beketov) and Iryna Rudnytska (Ternopil National Economic University) got the diplomas of the II degree.
Diplomas of the III degree were achieved by Oleksandr Semenyuta and Olga Makovska (Kremenchuk National University named by M. Ostrohradskyi), Vladyslava Vlasenko and Alla Sheverdina (Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University), Nataliya Gerelyus (Lviv National Agrarian University), Darya Kolesnichenko and Galyna Minchenko (Sumy State University), Vladyslav Lesyuk (Poltava State Agrarian Academy), Viktoriya Yaroshchuk (National University of Water Management and Natural Resources Use) and Olga Chorna (Ternopil National Economic University).
Some authors of research papers have been awarded with the Diploma “For High Academic Achievement”.
The students’ research papers reflected a wide range of topical issues of Public Administration, including employment management, e-governance, effective local budgeting, city management strategies, and territorial community management etc.
During the final scientific and practical conference the lecturers from different universities exchanged their methodological developments on the formation of educational programmes by the speciality 281 “Public Management and Administration”.
Committee members and participants remarked the high level of competition and expressed gratitude to the organizers.
