On April 21, 2011, on the basis of Management Department of Sumy State University a XI All-Ukrainian scientific conference named “Environmental Management in Common Management System” was held.
There were 154 participants of the conference. They were researches, scientists, teachers, postgraduate students, students and representatives of state run public authorities and local self-government, research and project organization of 18 cities of Ukraine and 37 educational institutions.
The scientific meeting was devoted to the discussion of ecological problems, which appear as a result of negative influence of production activity on natural systems, of search for ways of their elimination and of the received results analysis.
The main urgent points, which were viewed during the conference, were:
- Present tendencies of sustainable development
- Theory and practice of territorial management and management of organizations
- Theory and practice of ecological damage detection
- Role of environmental management in the environment quality control
- Methods of nature-conservative activity management
- Organizational structures of environmental management
- Improvement of state system of environment quality control
- Environmental management standards system
- International cooperation in the branch of environment quality control
The conference was opened by Vice President for scientific work of Sumy State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Anatoly M. Chornous, who greeted all the participants of the conference and wished success in scientific research. Co-chairmen of the conference – head of the Management Department, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Oleksandr M. Telizhenko and head of the Department of Economics, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Leonid H. Melnyk – said an opening speech at the conference as well.
At the plenary meeting there were reports of such reporters: Vyacheslav O. Barannik (Candidate of Economic Sciences, senior staff scientist of the department of fuel-energy complex strategy of the Regional branch of the National Institute of Strategic Research in Dnipropetrovsk), Volodymyr I. Nochvay (Candidate of Technical Sciences of the National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine), Pavlo V. Kravets (Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine) and other.
All the sent materials formed a collection of the report articles (two parts), which was published before the beginning of the conference.
The participants highly appreciated the organization and informational content of the conference and expressed their desire to take part in future events.
